Amazing Sea Life at The Menehune Shores Condo Complex in Maui, HI

Our family had an amazing time exploring around the Menehune Shores condo complex while staying at Menehune Shores 226. It was amazing how much sea life we found just right in front of this amazing Maui vacation rental condo complex.

Our morning started with a walk south down the beach to see what we could find in close proximity to the condo. Our two boys were running down the beach looking for shells and my wife and I were enjoying our morning coffee.

Once we got down the beach about one mile their was a shallow point with an amazing tide pool area. The water was extremely clear and about one to two feet deep. You definitely needed slippers to walk out there. The coral was old and dead, but it made for a great place for little ocean critters to live.

While exploring we saw sea cucumbers, sea urchins (also know as vana in Hawaiian), little eels that were beautifully colored and even a baby manta ray. The slower you walked and the more patient you were the more you saw.

We were extremely impressed with how beautiful the beach area was during low tide. You could literally walk for miles with no shortage of beautiful beach and ocean scenery all around.

Later in the day we went down to the Ancient Hawaiian Fish Pond in front of the Menehune Shores complex. It was amazing to get to see tons of huge green sea turtles just relaxing on the rocks sunning themselves.

It goes without saying that we had an epic time at this amazing condo complex. The whole area around the complex is not just a place to stay, but a wonderful experience to be shared with your loved ones.
